All parcels will be sent with Canada Post within Canada, and taken over by USPS within the United States. 

Tracking number will be provided to you once your package has shipped unless you have chosen the untracked option.

Unfortunately all pieces in the online shop are made to order, and so returns cannot be accepted or orders cancelled once they have been put into production.

If you find a defect in your piece, please contact me and we can arrange an exchange.

Pieces received as gifts may be exchanged for another item of equal value. If you'd like to exchange for a greater value, the difference will be paid by the customer. 

Any exchange requests must be communicated by email to goodsigil@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your package.

* All exchanges or returns must arrive back to Good Sigil within 21 days of original purchase.


* All items must arrive back at the shop in original condition and with the original packaging and receipt of purchase. 


* All returns must be sent by trackable mail.

Sterling silver pieces will tarnish over time, especially in humid environments. (Don’t store your jewellery in your bathroom like I do!) I recommend storing them in a sealed ziplock baggie when not wearing them. You will find that if you wear it often it will stay brighter, this is due to friction and the skin’s oils.

The chain will not tarnish immediately as it has a coating to protect the silver but once that coating has worn off due to wear, it will begin to darken. To clean chains: Remove pendant, unless you want to completely remove the smoky grey oxidization. In a jar combine a tablespoon of baking soda, an approximately 4 x 4” scrap of tinfoil and the silver jewelry. Pour boiling water in the jar. You will see the pieces touching the tinfoil slowly brighten. In about 10 minutes you have bright silver jewelry again! Rinse in water and pat dry with a towel. (Do not use this method for crystal necklaces as the heat can damage the crystals!)

For the pendants, I recommend a rouge jewellery polishing cloth like this one. If you do not want to purchase a polishing cloth, you can use a cloth with some texture, like denim, to rub/polish up your piece. This won’t make it completely bright and shiny again but it will remove some of the darkness.

For all orders within British Columbia, Canada I am required to charge 7% PST. Currently, I have rolled this into the prices of any listed items rather than charging it on top. This policy is subject to change.

Please check your country’s international import policies before ordering, as any taxes, customs or duties charges are the responsibility of the receiver.

***UK RESIDENTS: Beginning January 1st, 2021, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HRMC) has moved the point at which VAT (value-added tax) is collected from the point of importation (you) to the point of sale (me). Because I am unable to add this price-dependent tax to my website, I can no longer sell items through goodsigil.com to the UK.

All of my pieces & chains are sterling silver (unless otherwise stated), though they are not stamped. This is partially due to the double-sided design.

I recycle all of my scrap metal and re-use it to cast new pieces. Jewellers on the whole are good recyclers, keeping all dust from the floor and even used emery paper to be refined. There is no escaping the environmental impact of the trade, though I strive to keep my footprint as small as possible by using more Earth-friendly alternatives at all opportunities.
